Writing Center

The Writing Center is located in the Active Learning Center, on the ground floor of the Mary F. Shipper Library.

The Writing Center offers students help with writing in any subject, at any stage of the writing process.

Whether it's a personal narrative for your English class, a lab report for your chemistry class, or a presentation for your psychology class, our professional writing tutors are available to help you learn strategies to communicate your ideas clearly, structure your thoughts effectively, and present your work professionally.

We are open for walk-ins or by appointment (for a single session or on a recurring basis).  If you're not free during our operating hours, you can email your paper to us for online feedback.
Students are also welcome to use the Writing Center as a quiet study space any time the Library is open.
