Office of Student Accommodations

The Office of Student Accommodations (OSA) is dedicated to enhancing the educational opportunities for students with temporary or permanent disabilities on all West Virginia University campuses. Accommodation Specialists work individually with students, faculty, staff, and administration to assist in the implementation of accommodations that lead to academic and personal achievement.

Mary earned her Master's Degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling in 2021 from West Virginia University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Exercises Psychology from WVU in 2018. During her undergraduate years, Mary was a Peer Advocate with WVU Title IX Office from 2016-2018, working to end sexual assault and power-based personal violence on campus.

Prior to entering the position as an Accommodation Specialist, Mary worked as an intern for the WVU Office of Student Accommodations. Mary also worked as a counseling intern for a Medicated Assisted Treatment Center for Opioid Use Disorder in Clarksburg, WV, working with adults with various Mental Health diagnoses and Substance Use Disorders. During graduate school, Mary worked as a Mental Health Specialist for WVU Medicine Psychiatric facility working with Adults, Adolescents, and Intensive care clients with varying mental and behavioral health diagnoses.
