At Potomac State, students enjoy a variety of classes. In Tools and Applications, students learn the basics of photography and how to edit photos and videos using Adobe CC programs. In this hands-on class, students also produce a 360 video. Their work is published on a blog and in the College online and print newspaper, the Pasquino.

In Media Writing, students write articles for publication the Pasquino. They also learn to write press releases, blogs and online articles.

WKYW–LP a.k.a. “Mountain Streams Radio,” in partnership with Potomac State College and the Mineral County Historical Society, broadcasts directly from the Potomac State College campus. The station offers a broad mix of Appalachian music and information for Mineral County. Students have the opportunity to get involved by writing and producing radio segments.

Academic advising, tutoring, computer lab time, individual attention and small class size characterize the program.
