Hands On Learning

If You Think You're Going to Passively Listen, Think Again.

Opportunities for hands-on learning are part of almost every course.

Speak up or lead a class discussion. Manipulate lasers in a physics lab. Intern at a local school or with the West Virginia Legislature. Take a trip to the Bodies exhibit, to the Renaissance Faire with your British literature class or to the Smithsonian museums and art galleries in nearby Washington, D.C. Design a service project to solve a community social issue. Work with pre-K students to improve motor skills.

These and other opportunities for hands-on learning abound at Potomac State.
